Organizer Charla Brazeau says creating a positive dialogue about mental health has become more important than ever, especially in light of the COVID-19 pandemic.
“It’s really about bringing the community together. Mental health has been such a big issue, especially once COVID started,” she said.
The walk will start at the Moberly Lake Fire Hall at 8 am and finish at Spirit Park in Chetwynd. A drumming ceremony, BBQ, and speeches are planned at the conclusion of the walk in Spirit Park.
Milgaard has been invited to speak at the walk, along with several other guest speakers.
“We invited him out to speak, and he agreed. So he’ll be flying in to join us,” confirmed Brazeau.
