Is Your Heart Closed to Love?

Dealing with a heavy heart

There may have been times in your own life where you have felt that physical sensation we refer to as “heartache.” This feeling of pressure or discomfort in the chest and throat may occur when someone is hurting us or we have a deep sense of grief or loss. I believe that the heart is actually the core of our being, just like the ancients believed. And I think that the spirit within us does not like this feeling. I believe that if you have this experience more than a couple of times in your life, that your subconscious mind may form an “energy wall” to protect your heart against further heartache. We refer to this wall of energy as the “Heart-Wall.”

People who have been abused or neglected in early childhood or by partners in unhealthy relationships often develop a kind of protective shield that prevents them from being able to love other people on a conscious level. I have coined the term “Heart-Wall” for this widespread condition.

A Heart-Wall® can form when the energy of one or more unresolved emotions becomes “trapped” around the hear. A Heart-Wall is your body’s attempt to protect your vulnerable heart. When this energetic barrier of Trapped Emotions forms, it can keep us from feeling hurtful, negative emotions as deeply.

Having a Heart-Wall can make it difficult to give and receive love. You may not be able to feel positive emotions as deeply, such as happiness, gratitude, empathy, and more. It can cause feelings of loneliness, isolation, and sadness, as well as physical health issues. Answering yes to any of the following questions may indicate the presence of a Heart-Wall:

8 Questions to Help Determine If You Have a Heart-Wall

  1. Have you been injured emotionally in the past?
  2. Have you felt an emotional heaviness in your heart, as though your heart was breaking?
  3. Do you feel as though you can’t fully experience joy or happiness?
  4. Do you struggle to connect with others?
  5. Is it hard for you to connect romantically with your partners?
  6. Do you feel closed off to love?
  7. Do you often feel lonely or isolated from those around you?
  8. Do you feel heaviness or discomfort in your chest, neck, or shoulders?

Heart-Walls can be identified through self-testing and removed by following charts in The Emotion Code, or by working with a certified practitioner. After releasing a Heart-Wall, many clients report being able to feel love and joy more deeply — sometimes for the first time in years.

I believe that the single most important thing you can do for yourself is to get rid of the trapped negative emotions that may be forming a wall around your heart. The Emotion Code® is the only way that I know of to do this. It is easily learned by anyone, with no previous training required. I believe the release of Trapped Emotions is permanent, and works for all ages. By helping people shed their emotional baggage, we can help them obtain the potential to become empowered — to become who God intended them to be
