The managing director of Virgin Media Television has written to Cillian de Gascun accusing him and the National Public Health Emergency Team (Nphet) of having a “criminal” obsession with control and manipulating Covid-19 data to “scare” the public.
In six emails between January and May, Paul Farrell claimed without evidence that de Gascun, the director of the National Virus Reference Laboratory, was “scaremongering” and “dialling up test results”.
