Amazon is holding a special two-day sales event known as Prime Big Deal Days because it’s October 10th and that means… well, I’m not actually sure why they’re holding it.
All the same, there are some terrific deals available and it’s a great opportunity to get a head start on your holiday shopping or get yourself that special gadget you’ve been eyeballing.
Below, I’ve rounded up my favorite offers. Every product mentioned is one that I currently use or have used in the past, and each one has my full endorsement.
This post will be updated at the end of the day with new deals that are happening exclusively on day 2, Wednesday, October 11, so be sure to check back then!
Important note: Big sales like this can sometimes lead to mindless consumption, so I encourage you to think carefully before you make any purchases to ensure it’s something you’ll actually use.

Kitchen Appliances + Cookware
Vitamix 5200 Blender: Arguably the best blender, and at a great price. I bought this one last year, and it gets you those super smooth sauces and nut butters, the motor is so powerful, the warranty is long (because it’s a well-made product), and it’s really easy to clean with the self-cleaning button. It’s not on sale often, so this is a great deal if you need a high-powered blender. Instant Pot Duo 7-in-1 Electric Pressure Cooker: The Instant Pot is an absolute workhorse in my kitchen – I use it for soups and stews, preparing pots of lentils or beans for meal prep, or even grains like rice for dinner. Pairs great with my cookbook, The Vegan Instant Pot Cookbook (which is also on sale! More on that below). KitchenAid Mini Stand Mixer: The perfect introduction to stand mixers for all your baking and bread-making. It’s just as powerful as a full-sized stand mixer but takes up less kitchen real estate.
All-Clad Stainless Steel 7-Piece Cookware Set: I’ve used All-Clad stainless steel cookware for the last several years and put each piece through the wringer. They still cook as well as the day I first got them. The gold standard for stainless steel cookware.
All-Clad Frying Pan Set: If you’re not ready for such a big investment or you already have saucepans, this frying pan set is a great option. Le Creuset Rectangular Dish (12″ x 9″): I love purchasing Le Creuset items when they go on sale. This one is perfect for making lasagna or my vegan moussaka. Le Creuset Dutch Oven: Dutch ovens from Le Creuset are renowned for a reason. Thoughtfully designed and beautiful to behold, they’re made with phenomenal craftsmanship and are often passed down from generation to generation. I got my first in 2006 and it still works (I gifted it to a friend so I could buy a shiny new one because, hey, it’s my job).
Lodge Dutch Oven: If the Le Creuset model is out of your price range, try this one from Lodge. It’s a great choice at a much more affordable price point.
Le Creuset Saucepan: If you’ve watched my YouTube channel, you’ll frequently see this saucepan make an appearance. Another Le Creuset workhorse that looks (and works) fantastic.
Zwilling Knife Set: Getting three German-engineered knives for this price is an incredible deal. A great starter set of knives for a new chef. With proper care, these will last many years. I have a similar Zwilling chef’s knife that is razor sharp and super easy to handle.
Kitchen Gadgets and Other Items
The Vegan Instant Pot Cookbook: My first cookbook is on sale! It features 90+ wholesome yet indulgent vegan recipes, with tons of gluten-free, nut-free, and soy-free options. Plus, there’s a comprehensive primer on how to use and approach your Instant Pot. Fellow Staff Gooseneck Kettle: A gorgeous kettle with precise temperature control. I mainly use it for tea but my partner Max says the gooseneck spout is great for making a pour-over coffee. You may have peeped this one in a hunter green in the background of my YouTube videos.
Rubbermaid Storage Containers: I have amassed way too many storage containers from different brands, so I recently made the decision to donate my collection and start over with a brand new set so I never had to search for a matching lid. This was the set I chose. The quality of the seal is excellent and I expect it to last for many years.
Stasher Reusable Silicone Storage Bags: Purchasing a set of these stasher bags has helped me cut down on single-use plastic bags (and they’re dishwasher-safe!).
Anti-Fatigue Floor Mat: This floor mat saves my feet, ankles, lower back, and knees on long days in the kitchen. Keep it where you tend to do the most prep work and get another one next to the sink. Your previously aching joints will thank you.
My Go-To Tech and Travel Products
Amazon Echo, Echo Dot, and Echo Pop: I easily could have slotted these into the kitchen section above, as Amazon’s smart speaker is among my most used kitchen devices. I use it all the time to set cooking timers, remind me to pick up certain groceries, play music while I cook, or even convert measurements from imperial to metric.
Apple AirPods Pro: I use my AirPods all the time: to listen to podcasts while doing the dishes or taking walks in the neighborhood, anytime my mom calls, and so on. They’re super comfortable. The noise canceling function is really excellent, too, for those instances when you’re riding the subway or the music in the gym is way too loud. Apple AirPods: Don’t need the noise-cancelling function? Get these ones instead for a lower price. Apple Watch SE: There are newer, fancier models of the Apple Watch available, but this is the one that I have. It works great and the heart rate tracker has pushed me to give my all during my workouts. I recently started sharing my activity stats with a friend, which encourages me to close my activity goals each day.
Bose 700 Noise Canceling Headphones: Say goodbye to crying babies (or annoying adults) ruining your flight. Travel is so much less stressful once you slip these on. The quality of Bose’s noise-canceling surpasses any other headphones I’ve tried. Not a frequent flyer? These are also great for working in noisy offices or coworking spaces.
Soundcore Q20 Noise Cancelling Headphones: The headphones I used before I switched to Bose. They’re not as good but they are very reasonably priced and still make flying more bearable than not having noise-cancelling headphones.
Anker Power Bank: This external battery pack has been a godsend on long flights where the power outlet isn’t working (which, unfortunately, is often). Levoit Air Purifier: We picked this up as insurance for wildfire season here in California, but we actually use it most nights. Max sleeps much better with it, as he’s less congested. Oral-B Electric Toothbrush: If you’ve never used an electric toothbrush before, you don’t know what you’re missing (also my dentist recommends everyone use one). This is the model Max uses and he swears by it.
Shiatsu Foot Massager: A dear friend got me this after I complained to her about how much my feet hurt on days when I have all-day video or photo shoots. I was pretty skeptical but it’s actually been quite helpful in reviving my feet after a long day.
We’ll be updating this post as new deals become available, so be sure to check back in later in the day!
