news, local-news,

AS the state begins to open back up, now more than ever is the time for people to ensure their immune system is as strong as it can be. Eating well and following specialist dietary advice is one way to achieve this, and Bathurst nutritionist Elizabeth Packham said now was the time to reassess how people were looking after their bodies. Ms Packham said COVID-19 had been one of the busiest times for her business as people looked to make themselves healthier. “My approach to health is that of a holistic nature. I understand the interconnections between nutrition, physical activity, stress, sleeping patterns and lifestyle,” she said. “When working with me, I ensure that several considerations take place when assessing your individual health.” ALSO MAKING NEWS: Despite the effects of COVID-19 and the NSW lockdown, she said demand for services have seen a significant increase. “I believe that as a result of COVID-19 and this lockdown, people have been forced to look more closely at their own nutritional requirements during this period,” Ms Packham said. “I’m finding that people have more time to consider what their nutritional needs are and how they can best utilise this time to begin working towards their nutritional goals or to achieve optimal health.” To accommodate lockdown she restructured her business by providing one-on-one Zoom consultations. “This is proving popular and provides a confidential space to discuss any individual nutritional goals and or concerns, whether that may be weight-loss, muscle gain, athletic performance goals or better nutritional status,” she said. Ms Packham said now lockdown was lifting she was also ready to see clients face-to-face again.
